As of August 31, 2025, we are deprecating our viaLINK software, which supports UNI-T generators. viaLINK is no longer available for download.

We strongly recommend viaLINK users switch to our viaJOIN software. viaJOIN supports Juntek JDS2900 generators for a more reliable and simpler Rifing experience. Even though viaJOIN does not use it, viaLINK users should NOT uninstall NI-VISA.

We will shortly introduce newer versions of viaJOIN with advanced features.

Do not use the Spooky2 “Booster Board” hardware and do not use “Inverse + Sync” in the Spooky2 software Settings tab with viaDNA Remotes.

Which is better? Why use one or the other? Does it affect my Rifing?

The answers reside with understanding how a magnetic scalar wave gets created inside the viaDNA Remote. It involves physical elements used to create electrical and magnetic fields that interact with each other. The electrical field is dynamic given the multiple metrics that drive it, ie, frequency, amplitude, offset, resulting in power and energy. The magnetic field is static, fixed. Please read our whitepapers for more information.

Neither plastic or glass impede or affect electrical or magnetic fields. These fields flow freely through them. And there’s your answer … it doesn’t matter!

So it really comes down to ease of use and purpose. Plastic vials are inexpensive, have more room inside for the swab with blood, incorporate the flip-lid, and are single use. Glass vials are more expensive and a tight fit for the swab inside. In certain cases where saliva or nails must be used, glass vials have the advantage of the removable plasitc cap. If done carefully, both the glass vial and plastic cap can be cleaned with alcohol.

For convenience, cost, and simplicity, the plastic vial is the practical choice, with the glass vial reserved for special cases.
